At Prosper for Purpose, we're proud to be able to give back to our local communities. Supporting others is ingrained in our DNA and, well, mom was right — "It's better to give than to receive."
That's why we began our 12 Months of Giving campaign in 2016. It allows us to provide 12 Northeast Ohio nonprofits (one per calendar month) with:
- Three (3) hours of free strategic consulting on a current challenge
- Promotion through Prosper for Purpose's website, social media accounts
andvarious other channels
We are pleased to announce that The Edna House for Women is our chosen organization for July.
The Edna House is a structured, long-term sober living facility that provides food, shelter and sobriety services to women seeking recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. The grassroots organization was conceived by alcoholic women in 2004 as a unique way to help other women with the desire to stay sober.
First opened as a tiny house serving just three women, the Edna House now has three facilities which are home to roughly 50 recovering women at any given time. The Edna House’s staff and volunteer base is composed entirely of alumni and women from the local recovery community.
